If a departure time is set, a yellow LED will appear
on the climate bar of the central display. In addi-
tion, an LED on the climate bar will indicate when
pre-entry climate control is activated. It lights up
blue when the vehicle is being cooled and red
when it is being heated.
Operation using the app: the pre-entry climate
control for departure time can also be set via the
Mercedes me connect app. You can find further

Activating/deactivating pre-entry climate control
for departure time
Requirements (vehicles with a 48 V on-board elec-
trical system)
The 48 V battery is charged sufficiently.

The function has been activated via the multi-

media system.
Requirements (plug-in hybrid)
The high-voltage battery is charged suffi-
R
ciently.
The function has been activated via the multi-
R
media system.
To activate: set the departure time

page 200).

Pre-entry climate control for departure time
will switch on a maximum of 55 minutes
before the selected departure time. It will
remain active for another five minutes if depar-
ture is delayed.
To deactivate the pre-entry climate control for
#
departure time early (vehicles with 48 V on-
board electrical system): press the & but-
ton or switch off the preselection of the time
in the climate menu.
To deactivate the pre-entry climate control for
#
departure time early (plug-in hybrid): press
& on the climate bar on the central display
or switch off the preselection of the time in
the climate menu.
If present, the following functions will remain
active once the vehicle has been started:
Seat heating
R
Seat ventilation
R
Climate control 201
Panel heating
R
Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the follow-
ing functions will also be adjusted during pre-
entry climate control if they have already been
switched on during regular vehicle operation:
Fragrancing
R
Ionisation
R
Activating/deactivating immediate pre-entry cli-
mate control
& WARNING Risk of fatal injury due to expo-
sure to extreme heat or cold in the vehicle
If persons, particularly children, are subjected
to prolonged exposure to intense heat or cold,
there is a risk of severe injury or even death.
Never leave persons, particularly chil-

dren, unattended in the vehicle.
