CAM POSITION SENSOR
• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" to the O-ring and install
it.
• Install the CMP sensor.
Cam position sensor bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
99000-25030: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" (USA)
99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" (Others)

CAMSHAFT

• Exhaust camshaft and intake camshaft are distinguished by
the punched mark.
Exhaust camshaft: Punched mark "B"
Intake camshaft:
Punched mark "A"
CAM FACE
• Check the sliding surface for extraordinary scratches or wear.
• Measure the cam height H with a micrometer.
• If the service limit has been exceeded, replace the camshaft.
Cam height H:
Service Limit: (IN.): 35.1 mm (1.378 in)
(EX.): 33.7 mm (1.339 in)
CAMSHAFT RUNOUT
• Measure the runout using the dial gauge.
• Replace the camshaft if the runout exceeds the limit.
09900-20606: Dial gauge (1/100 mm)
09900-20701: Magnetic stand
09900-21304: V-block set (100 mm)
Camshaft runout:
Service Limit (IN & EX): 0.10 mm (0.004 in)
