2-28 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

CHASSIS BOLT AND NUT

Tighten initially at 1 000 km (600 miles, 1 month) and
every 6 000 km (4 000 miles, 6 months) thereafter.
Check that all chassis bolts and nuts are tightened to their specified torque. (Refer to page 2-28 for the loca-
tions of the following nuts and bolts on the motorcycle.)
1 Steering stem head nut
2 Front fork upper clamp bolt
3 Front fork lower clamp bolt
4 Front axle
5 Front axle pinch bolt
6 Handlebar clamp bolt
7 Front brake master cylinder mounting bolt
8 Front brake caliper mounting bolt
9 Brake hose union bolt
0 Air bleeder valve
A Brake disc bolt (Front & Rear)
B Rear brake caliper mounting bolt
C Rear brake master cylinder mounting bolt
D Front footrest bracket mounting bolt
E Swingarm pivot nut
F Rear shock absorber mounting nut
(Upper & Lower)
G Rear axle nut
