2.2 Installation Notes
1.
The UPS contains batteries that are potentially hazardous. Only professional personnel
can perform the installation.
2.
Use the UPS at a clean and stable location, far away from vibration, dust, high humidity,
inflammable gas, flammable liquid and corrosive agents.
3.
For XP UPS, its operating temperature is 0℃-40℃.If the practical operating temperature
exceeds 40℃, the maximum load should be reduced. The temperature rises every 5℃,the
maximum load decreases by 12%. The maximum operating temperature is 50℃.
4.
Battery array's operating temperature is recommended to be 15℃-25℃.
5.
The altitude where XP UPS works with full load should be less than 1000m.If the altitude
is higher than 1000m, the maximum load should be reduced. The relationship between the
altitude and its corresponding maximum load is shown in the table below.
Altitude (m)
Load coefficient (%)
XP UPS adopts forced air-cooling, so good ventilation is required. A clearance at least
6.
30cm should be maintained behind the real panel and never make it be obstructed. Air
intake is hidden in the front panel and it can't be obstructed.
7.
RS232 cable is used to connect UPS' RS232 port and PC's RS232 port. After installing the
monitor software WinPower, UPS can be supervised by PC.
8.
XP UPS's external battery module is different depending on the product type.1KVA
needs 3 12V batteries in series and 2KVA/3KVA needs 6 12V batteries in series.
