4. Set Ground Lift switch.
The
GND LIFT
The Ground Lift switch is shipped from the factory in the "CHASSIS
GROUND" position, (to connect the 6200's circuit ground to its chassis
ground). We can think of no reason to set it to
tem grounding problem the switch is available as a resource to help you fix
your problem.
5. Mount the 6200 in a rack.
The 6200 OPTIMOD-DAB requires two standard rack units (3.5 inches/8.8
cm). Model 6200S requires one standard rack unit (1¾ inches/4.4 cm).
There should be a good ground connection between the rack and the 6200
chassis — check this with an ohmmeter to verify that the resistance is less
than 0.5Ω.
Mounting the unit over large heat-producing devices (such as a vacuum-tube
power amplifier) may shorten component life and is not recommended. Ambi-
ent temperature should not exceed 45°C (113°F) when equipment is powered.
Equipment life will be extended if the unit is mounted away from sources of
vibration, such as large blowers and is operated as cool as possible.
