Complete setting procedure/step-by-step plan
The following steps generally have to be gone through in order to fully program the
Octalarm-IP:
step 1: select the language for the menus and enter the location name.
•
If the alarm dialler is connected to the ACC
step 2: enter alarm receivers (people that have to respond to malfunctions) in
•
the Telephone book.
Here, they are each given a name, a call number and an authorisation. Do not forget
to change the pin codes in the manufacturer's settings to those of your own choice.
step 3: make Call lists.
•
Receivers can be called out depending on their function;
step 4: make Action lists:
•
determine the nature and urgency of the alarm reports and, depending on this, the
action that has to be taken;
step 5: set the Input properties
•
and use clear alarm names when doing this;
step 6: set which external equipment is connected for local alarms;
•
step 7: enter the actions that the alarm dialler has to take when there are
•
system malfunctions;
step 8: enter the circumstances under which local alarms have to be given;
•
step 9: specify how the alarm dialler has to deal with incoming and outgoing
•
telephone lines;
step 10: when the alarm dialler has a number of line interfaces (PSTN, GSM), it can be
•
specified which type of message should use which line interface.

Preparations for configuration
The alarm is given via an analogue telephone line, VoIP and/or a GSM connection
(depending on type).
6.1.1
When setting is done with IP-prog
In addition to setting up on the Octalarm-IP the dialler can also be set up with a free
software application on a PC or laptop. This works quickly and clearly. To do this, install
IP-prog on the PC. This setup program is free to download from
www.adesys.nl/en/service/downloads.
Login: as installer you log in with code 9999, which enables you to enter and change all
settings.
6.1.2
When setting up with PC or laptop (web browser)
When your Octalarm-IP is included in a (company) network, you can access your Octalarm
detector with a standard web browser by typing the IP address of the detector into the
browser. You can find the IP-address in the Info screen.
