Overview

The ETS is a pre‐piped and pre‐wired assembly that includes the ETV Platinum Plus (Electronic Tempering Valve)
in either a Simplex (single valve) or Duplex (dual valves) configuration. The ETV Platinum Plus is a hot water
temperature control capable of operating one or two electronic motorized mixing valves to regulate the system
water temperature. The electronic mixing valves are controlled using a voltage output modulation signals. Its
modulation PID is designed to respond quickly, which makes it suitable for domestic hot water applications.
The ETS assembly consists of the ETV valve(s) with actuator(s), ETV Platinum Plus control module, a TMC
motorized safety valve and three probe (direct immersion) sensors on the Mixed Outlet, HOT, and COLD
piping from the valve(s).
For added protection, the ETS assembly is configured on a loss of power condition to power the ETV valve(s)
to a full COLD position. On conditions where the mixed outlet temperature exceeds the Alarm Limit the ETS
will power the ETV valve(s) to a full COLD position and close the TMC valve on the hot water supply to the
mixing valve. In this Alarm condition the ETV module will close the alarm contacts tiggering the ETS audible
alarm and enter into a manual reset condition. For additional information on the LOCKOUT menu see page
39.
