TO MODBUS neT MODBUS TyPe • H eat-Timer Platinum controls can be ordered with or upgraded to MODBUS communication. • T he Platinum MODBUS communication uses RTU protocol and RS485 wiring. • W hen upgrading a standard Platinum control to MODBUS communication, the CPU Board on the back of the Platinum control must be replaced. In addition, the MODBUS Communication Board must be installed. See "Platinum Control Rear View" on page 1. MODBUS rS485 WIrIng MODBUS Communication • H eat-Timer Platinum control MODBUS communication uses a RS485 connection. Board • C onnect the RS485 to the back of the Platinum control's MODBUS Communication Board. • U se 18 AWG Twisted-Pair cable.
