Special Procedure: Reed Switch Adjustment

When the locks are unlocked, the light on each reed switch should illuminate. When the locks are
locked, the lights on the reed switches should not illuminate. If a light does not illuminate when
the locks are unlocked or illuminates when the locks are locked, the reed switch needs adjusted.
To adjust a reed switch:
1. Remove the air cylinder cover to gain access to the reed switch.
2. Pressurize the mast so that the locks unlock.
3. Loosen the screw securing the reed switch that needs adjusted.
4. Slide the reed switch to the left, then slowly move it towards the right until the light
illuminates. Stop moving the reed switch as soon as it illuminates.
5. Secure the reed switch into place. The screws are friction locks. Do not overtighten the
screws.
6. If necessary, repeat this procedure for the second reed switch.

• Mast is stored vertically when storing for more than six months with provisions to keep the
mast from tipping over.
• Mast is extended and lowered every six months (Section 6.3.1).
