5-30. Shuttle Motor (Figure 5-26)
a. Removal
1. Remove printer cover per paragraph 5-17a.
2. Loosen two screws (1).
3. Separate cam cover (2) and attached gasket (3) from housing (4).
4. Loosen four nuts (5). Allow motor (6) to slip down.
5. Slip belt (7) off motor pulley (8).
6. Remove two nuts (9) and star washers (10).
7. Remove cover (11) from terminal board (12).
8. Tag motor leads (13).
9. Remove screws (14) and terminal lugs (15) to free up leads (13).
10. Disconnect ground lead (16).
11. Support motor (6) while removing four nuts (5), star washers (17), washers (18), and car
riage bolts (19).
12. Move motor (6) to the rear then up and out of printer (20).
13. Remove pulley if required.
(a) Remove three screws (21) and washers (22).
(b) Separate pulley (8) from adapter (23).
