5-21. Ribbon Drive Motor (Figure 5-17)
a. Removal
1. Remove ribbon drive per paragraph 5-19a.
2. Loosen hub screw (1) and remove hub (2) from shaft of motor (3).
3. Disconnect motor cable connector (4) from ribbon control PCBA (5). Cut tie wraps as
necessary to free cable.
4. If right motor is to be replaced, remove ribbon control PCBA per paragraph 5-20a.
5. Remove four nuts (6).
6. Separate motor (3) from chassis (7).
b. Installation
1. Place motor (3) in chassis (7).
2. If right motor is being installed, replace ribbon control PCBA per paragraph 5-20b.
3. Install four nuts (6).
4. Connect motor cable connector (4) to ribbon control PCBA (5). Install new tie wraps as
required.
5. Install hub (2) on shaft of motor (3). Tighten screw (1).
6. Install ribbon drive per paragraph 5-19b.
7. Adjust ribbon hubs per paragraph 5-3.
5-22. Ribbon Drive Blower (Figure 5-18)
a. Removal
1. Place ribbon drive assembly in service position per paragraph 3-4c4.
2. Remove screw (1) and washer (2).
3. Separate blower cover (3) from chassis (4).
4. Disconnect blower cable connector (5) from short cable (6).
5. Remove connector (5) from chassis (4).
6. Press blower (7) out of chassis (4).
