5-33. Paper Feed Belt
b. Installation
1. Press bearing (6) against right side plate (7), but do not seat it.
2. Slip belt (10) onto spline shaft (5) by passing it over forms adjustment disk (12).
3. Slip belt (10) onto feed motor pulley (11).
4. Slide spline shaft (5) and bearing (6) to left. Seat bearing (6) in right side plate (7).
5. Install bushing (4) on shaft (5).
6. Set bushing (4) 0.001 to 0.001 inches from right side plate (7).
7. Align pulley on spline shaft (5) with motor pulley (11). Center belt (10) on motor pulley
(11).
8. Tighten setscrew (3) against flat on spline shaft (5).
9. Check belt tension per paragraph 5-14a. Adjust if necessary per paragraph 5-14b.
10. Close cover (2). Connect power cord (1).
5-34. Paper Feed Motor (Figure 5-30)
a. Removal
1. Remove printer cover per paragraph 5-17a.
2. Disconnect feed motor cable (1) from power supply PCBA (2). Cut cable ties as necessary
to free cable.
3. Remove four screws (3) and two sets of washers (4 and 5).
4. Slip belt (6) off motor pulley (7).
5. Separate motor (8) from right side plate (9).
b. Installation
1. Place motor (8) against right side plate (9).
2. Slip belt (6) over motor pulley (7).
3. Install four screws (3) and two sets of washers (4 and 5).
4. Connect feed motor cable (1) to power supply PCBA (2). Retie cable as necessary.
5. Adjust belt tension per paragraph 5-14.
