Balancing

Balancing
The transducer and plunger are arranged by Ident. No. to prevent transposi
tion. Plungers and coil systems that have not been balanced with one another
can give rise to measurement errors in excess of 1%.
Large measurement errors can also occur, if the plunger is deformed or dam
aged. In case of replacement, the complete transducer (plunger and trans
ducer) needs to be sent to HBM. The new core is adapted at HBM.
CAUTION
The transducer and plunger must not be transposed.

Zero balance
5.1.1
Zero balance or adjustment (without electronics)
Plunger (WA/...-L)
The plunger has a threaded piece for connecting it to the measurement object.
S Insert the plunger into the transducer as far as the first marking ring (the
projecting part of the plunger corresponds to size C, see page 24
"Dimensions").
S for the WA2: push in the core until the 0 ±1mV/V display. This requires an
amplifier providing tare and zero functions for zero balance.
The amplifier output signal is then zero balanced.
