Powering up an HPE Synergy frame that is part of a multiframe
management ring with Image Streamer
After performing maintenance on a Synergy frame that is part of a multiframe management ring that includes Image Streamer,
use the steps in this topic to ensure that the frame is powered back up using the proper sequence.
Procedure
1. Plug in the frame power cords.
The Composer and Image Streamer appliances automatically power up, and the compute modules and storage modules
automatically power up.
2. Wait for about 20 minutes for the Image Streamer cluster service to restart.
If you attempt to connect to the computer modules using iLO before the service is started, the following message might
appear: OS/Hypervisor keep trying to boot from PXE
3. Log into HPE OneView, navigate to the server hardware page, and click Actions > Reset.
Clicking the reset button performs a warm reset that immediately resets the server without removing power.
4. In iLO, observe that the operating system or hypervisor boots from the Image Streamer volume.
