Procedure
1. Perform either of the following:
• Remove the Composer from the frame.
• Remove the Image Streamer from the frame.
2. Remove the access panel.
The system board remains after all components have been removed.
3. Remove the drive.
4. Remove the SATA power cable.
5. Remove the memory.
6. Remove the heatsink and processor.
Replacing the appliance module system board
1. Install the heatsink and processor.
2. Install the memory.
3. Install the SATA power cable.
4. Install the drive.
5. Install the access panel.
6.
Slide the appliance module into the bay until it clicks into place.
7.
Within five minutes, insert the USB key with the currently installed image of the appliance module.
8. Locate the Power/Reset LED indicator on the appliance module front panel.
9. Use the applicator to press the pinhole button (located inside of the Power/Reset LED indicator) for more than 10
seconds.
10. Hold the reset button until the activity LED flashes green to initiate the reimage of the appliance module.
After about 15 or 20 minutes, the login prompt appears to indicate that the reimage is complete.
For a Composer, it will take up to 20 minutes for HPE OneView to be ready to use. A full recovery can take several hours.
For an Image Streamer, reseat the appliance module. It will take up to one hour for the appliance module to successfully
rejoin the cluster and be ready to use. For more information, see Guidelines for inserting an Image Streamer.

Installing the access panel

Before you perform this procedure, make sure you have a T-10 Torx screwdriver available.
Install the component as indicated.
