If one of the appliances is already faulty, critical alerts are displayed on these screens. Follow the resolutions mentioned in
the alerts to resolve the error. If the issue persists even after following the resolution, contact your authorized support
representative.
• Before removing an appliance module, shut down the appliance module using the appliance maintenance console.
• When an appliance module is removed from the CIM slot, it might take up to 80 minutes for the removal operation to
complete. You can track the progress of the removal operation on the SERVERS > Enclosures screen in HPE OneView.
Wait until the removal operation is complete before inserting a repaired or another appliance module in the same CIM slot.
• The appliance module removal operation is complete when the progress bar on the SERVERS > Enclosures screen in HPE
OneView user interface shows that the removal operation is complete.
Once an appliance module is removed successfully, the Member Appliances section in the Deployment Appliances screen
displays information only about the existing appliance module.
• When an appliance module is removed, an alert displays on the HPE OneView SERVERS > Enclosures screen, after 3 to 4
minutes. This alert displays as soon as the appliance module removal operation starts and notifies you that the expected
Image Streamer is missing.
This alert indicates that the appliance module removal operation has started. The resolution message mentions a user
action to insert an appliance module but do not insert an appliance module until the removal operation completes
successfully.
When the appliance module removal operation is in progress, ignore the following alert that appears in the Deployment
