If your QMS printer doesn't support QMS Document Option Com-
mands (DOC), the following logical was defined by the installation:
$DEFINE/S
If you selected a parallel interface, the following
logical was defined:
$DEFINE/SYSTEM QMS$ execution_queue _CONTROL -"PARALLE
execution_queue is replaced with the name of your execution queue.
The execution queue outputs directly to the printer. Jobs which
appear in the execution queue are directed to the printer by the print
symbiont.
To specify that the banner pages are to be pulled from a specific input
bin or tray, define the following logical:
$ DEFINE/SYSTEM QMS$ execution_queue _CONTROL -
_$"INPUT= tray_name "
Refer to the characteristic file for the available bin or tray selections
for your printer.
Note: If the Installation Verification Program was selected earlier in

the install, the IVP test file prints at this point.
After you've installed the software, ensure that the system boot file
calls the printer start-up file. For example, for VMS Version 5 systems,
the SYS$SYSROOT: SYSTARTUP_V5.COM file should include this
line:
$ @SYS$STARTUP:QMS$START_QUEUE.COM
If the printer is part of a VAXcluster system, ensure that all other
members of the cluster include the call to the
YSTEM QMS$ execution_queue _CONTROL -"NODOC"
