Thermocouple
To check the millivolt production from the thermocouple, remove the thermocouple connector and
connect the multimeter to the center tab and copper tube. Start the pilot and hold down the gas
control knob. The minimum acceptable reading is 15 millivolts.
NOTE: Make sure the pilot flame contacts the thermocouple 3/8" (for 30 seconds) while testing
millivolt production. If it does not, see "Pilot Flame Needs Adjustment".
Remedy
Replace the pilot assembly (includes thermocouple).
