3.4.3 Special notes for bulk solids
• In the case of bulk solids, as great a
distance as possible from the filling
curtain is especially important to avoid
wear.
• In concrete silos, a large distance (B)
should be observed between the probe
and the concrete wall, if possible >= 1m,
but at least 0.5m
Installation in concrete silos
Installation, for example, into a thick concrete ceiling should be made flush with the
lower edge. Alternatively, the probe can also be installed into a pipe that must not
protrude over the lower edge of the silo ceiling. Installation suggestions see diagram.
