3. Loosen the tensioner just enough to remove the drive
belt.
4. To install the new belt, fit the belt over the alternator
and crankshaft pulleys. Complete the turn while lifting
the tensioner as necessary.
5. Check the belt for correct tension.
Belt tension
The correct tension for a new drive belt is:
623 - 712 N·m (459.5 - 525.1 lb ft).
Tension for a used drive belt is:
400 - 534 N·m (295.0 - 393.9 lb ft) tension.
