Chapter 2 — Configuring the CK31G

Using Static WEP Security

To enable LEAP security on your CK31G
1 Make sure you have selected Funk as your security choice.
2 Make sure you have configured the communications and
radio parameters on your CK31G.
3 From Intermec Settings, choose Communications > 802.11
Radio > Security Settings > Funk Security > Profile.
4 For Authentication, choose LEAP and then press Enter.
5 For Association, choose Open or Network EAP and then
press Enter.
6 For Encryption, choose WEP and then press Enter.
7 Select User name, type your user name, and then press
Enter.
8 Select Password prompt, choose Enter password now, and
then press Enter.
Note: You can use Prompt for password to troubleshoot
your connection to the network if you have problems.
9 Select User Password, type a user password, and then press
Enter.
10 Exit Intermec Settings.
The CK31G uses the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) protocol
to add security to your wireless network based on the 802.11b
standard.
To use WEP security, you need:
• A CK31G handheld computer with an 802.11b/g radio.
• An access point with an 802.11b/g radio.

2 Make sure you have configured the communications and
radio parameters on your CK31G.
