7.4 Replacing the fastening strap
INFORMATION
The elasticity of the elastic band holding together the closure, which grows with the child,
decreases over time. Replace the elastic band during each examination.
Prerequisite: The orthosis has been taken off.

4) In the neck area, fold over the lining to the
outside and press it into place (see fig. 7).
1) Take the elastic band out of the closure
and remove the glued end from the orthos­
is.
2) Remove adhesive residues, for example,
by sanding.
3) Clean the adhesive surface.
4) Apply cyanoacrylate
(e.g. 636K11) to the adhesive surface.
