8 Trouble-shooting
I Possible cause
- Wrong direction of rotation
- Wrong supply voltage
- No voltage
✘ Stator winding or power cable are
defective.
✘ The winding temperature monitoring
device (if any) of the pump set has been
tripped by an excessive winding
temperature.
the control unit set to 0.
- Sensor system defective or blocked
- Motor contactor defective
not fitted.
- No control voltage
- No voltage at the power cable of the
control unit

Remedy
Check the electrical connection:
▪ If both pump sets are running in the
wrong direction of rotation or if an
error message is present at the
control unit, interchange two line
conductors of the control unit's
power cable.
▪ If one pump set is running in the
wrong direction of rotation,
interchange two line conductors of
the pump set's power cable.
Check the power cable and the cable
connections.
Check the electrical installation. Contact
the energy supplier.
Use the power cable included in the
scope of supply or contact KSB.
Let the pump set cool down. Observe the
operating manual of the pump set.
Briefly set the manual-0-automatic
selector switch to manual and then to
automatic.
Check that the sensor system can move
freely. Replace it if necessary.
Replace the motor contactor.
Connect or bridge the contacts. Refer to
the pump set's operating manual.
Check the control current fuse. If
necessary, fit the supplied replacement
fuse.
Check the power cable of the control
unit.
Check the pump set for any clogging in
the hydraulic system.
Check the functionality of the back-up
fuse and the power cable of the control
unit.
Check the motor protection switch and
set it to position I.
