5 Installation at Site

5.8 Installing the sensor system

WARNING
Unsecured access opening
Danger of injury by falling!
▷ If work is interrupted or when the work has been completed, fit the fall
protection at the access opening and close the access opening with the tank
cover.
Install the applicable sensor system as follows:
Float switch
ü The operating manual of the float switch is available and complied with.
ü Information on the required switching points is available and observed.
(ð Section 9.4, Page 57)
1. Mark the electric cable length of the float switch as required for the switching
points.
2. Allow the float switch to hang down freely. Fasten its electric cable to the
attachment rail at the height of the marking.
Piezoelectric sensor
ü The operating manual of the piezoelectric sensor is available and complied with.
ü Information on the required switching points is available and observed.
(ð Section 9.4, Page 57)
1. Mark the length of the power cable of the piezoelectric sensor required for the
switching points.
2. Allow the piezoelectric sensor to hang down freely. Fasten its electric cable to
the attachment rail at the height of the marking.
Radar sensor

ü The operating manual of the radar sensor is available and complied with.
1. Loosen the locknut (2).
2. Guide the electric cable of the radar sensor (3) through the opening in the
mounting bracket (1) from below.
3. Position the radar sensor (3) on the mounting bracket (1).
4. Tighten the locknut (2). Tightening torque = 25 Nm
