The Diffraction mode contains three parameters: wavelength, diffraction angle,
and rotation angle. It is used to tilt/steer the incoming beam to a specific angle.

The Vortex mode contains two parameters: wavelength and pattern order m. This
pattern creates a helical output beam and contains a characteristic donut beam
profile.
