Repairing the underbody
protection

Additional rust or underbody protection agents in
the area of the exhaust system can become too hot
when driving and ignite.
e Do not apply additional underbody protection or
rustproofing agents on or near the exhaust
manifold, exhaust pipes, catalysts, or heat
shields.
The underside of your vehicle is permanently pro-
tected against chemical and mechanical influences.
Damage to this protective coating cannot be ex-
cluded in day-to-day driving.
e Porsche recommends having the underside of
the vehicle inspected at regular intervals by an
authorized Porsche dealer and the protective
coating restored as necessary. Contact an au-
thorized Porsche dealer.
Cleaning decorative films
NOTICE
Risk of damage through detachment of the decora-
tive films during cleaning.
e Do not use polish or hot wax.
e Do not use high-pressure cleaning equipment or
steam cleaners.
e Use a soft sponge, pH-neutral soap and plenty of
water.
Care instructions for protective
films
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to incorrect care of protective
films.
e Follow the care instructions provided by the
protective film manufacturer.
e After applying the film, wait at least 48 hours
before washing the vehicle.
e When using car washes, only wash the vehicle in
textile car washes. Before using a car wash,
consult the car wash operator.
e Do not aim high-pressure cleaning equipment
directly at the edges of the films.
e Remove dirt, e.g. insects, as quickly as possible.
e Remove stubborn dirt using a 99 percent iso-
propanol solution.
e Apply hot wax evenly and make sure it is smooth
and consistent.
Cleaning headlights, lights, plastic
components and surfaces, sen-
sors and cameras
NOTICE
Cleaning agents can seep into the controls or
switches, for example, and damage them. Unsuitable
cleaning agents can damage the plastic surfaces.
e Do not spray water and interior window cleaner
directly onto the plastic components in the ve-
hicle interior.
e Only use clean water and a little washing-up
liquid or interior window cleaner to clean head-
lights, lights, plastic components and surfaces,
radar sensors for Adaptive Cruise Control and
vehicle cameras. Use a soft sponge or a soft, lint-
free cloth for this purpose.
e Headlights must not be polished.
e Only clean the center console with touch-sensi-
tive buttons using a microfiber cloth.
e Never use other chemical cleaning agents or
solvents.
