wheel hub and on the wheel itself must not be

greased.
e Only the areas A may be greased. Grease these

areas very thinly with Optimoly
authorized Porsche dealer. Do not use any other

grease or paste.

Care of wheel bolts
e Clean the wheel bolts before installation.
X
e Wheel bolts must not be greased.
Y
e Replace damaged wheel bolts. Only use genuine
Z
Porsche wheel bolts assigned especially to this
310
model or wheel bolts of similar quality that have
been manufactured according to Porsche speci-
fications and production requirements.
e Tighten wheel bolts with a tightening torque of
118 ftlb. (160 Nm).
e Do not use any power tools such as impact
wrenches.
Using security wheel bolts

The adapter for the security wheel bolts is located in
the tool box.

e To loosen and tighten the wheel bolt with anti-
theft protection, the adapter must be used be-
tween the wheel bolt and the wheel bolt wrench.
e When positioning the adapter ensure that it en-
gages fully in the teeth of the wheel bolt.
Changing wheels
Preparing the vehicle
1. Activate the transmission parking lock using the
P button on the selector lever.
2. Activate the electric parking brake.
3. Switch ignition off.
4. Secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling
away, e.g. by placing wedges at the wheels on
the opposite side.
5. Slightly loosen the wheel bolts or wheel nuts on
the wheel to be changed.
6. Raise the vehicle only at the specified jacking
points.

7. Raise the vehicle until the wheel lifts off the
ground.
