– Brief pull = 1 mph (1 km/h) increments
– Pull and hold = 6 mph (10 km/h) increments
Status display B indicates the new desired speed.
The green bar F indicates the set desired speed of
your vehicle.
Setting the desired distance
The desired distance from the vehicle ahead can be
set in 5 stages. Stage 3 is recommended. The dis-
tance depends on the driving speed. It reduces as
the vehicle slows down and increases as it speeds
up.
Information
When you switch to the WET driving program, the
set distance for adaptive cruise control is changed to
the medium setting ("half speedometer distance") if
the set distance was previously lower.

Information
When the system display is not active, pressing
switch Z for the first time displays the main menu for
the driver assistance system without changing the
desired distance.
Increasing the desired distance
e Push switch Z upward.
The relevant more distant segment of the de-
sired distance indication A to the vehicle in front
C is displayed.
Reducing the desired distance
e Push switch Z downward.
The relevant closer segment of the desired dis-
tance indication A to the vehicle in front C is
displayed.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Displaying the distance from the vehicle in
front
If a vehicle is detected ahead, the vehicle symbol C
appears on the instrument cluster and in the status
display B.
The gray area D shows the current distance from the
vehicle in front (Fig. 11).
The shorter the distance to the vehicle in front C, the
larger the vehicle in the display. The longer the dis-
tance to the vehicle in front C, the smaller the ve-
hicle in the display.
