When opening or closing the slide/tilt sunroof and

sunblind, particularly in automatic mode, body parts
can become trapped between moving and stationary

vehicle parts.

e Make sure that no one can be injured when op-

erating the slide/tilt sunroof or sunblind.
e Always switch off the ignition when leaving the
K
vehicle. Take the vehicle key with you when
L
leaving the vehicle. Uninformed persons (e.g.
children) can be injured when operating the
M
slide/tilt sunroof or sunblind.
e In case of danger, press the slide/tilt sunroof and
N
sunblind buttons.

Damage to the roof or load if the slide/tilt sunroof is

opened or lifted when a roof transport system is

fitted.
e Do not open or lift the slide/tilt sunroof when a

roof transport system is fitted.

Information
– The slide/tilt sunroof and sunblind are fitted with
a force limiter. If an obstacle prevents them from
closing, they immediately re-open.
– The slide/tilt sunroof does not function at ex-
tremely high driving speeds or extremely low
temperatures.
Operating the slide/tilt sunroof or sunblind
b b Ignition is switched on.

Ignition is switched off, but not more than 10
minutes ago and driver's or passenger's door not
yet open.
The buttons for opening and closing the slide/tilt
sunroof and sunblind feature a 2-stage function.
When the buttons are actuated, both stages can be
clearly felt due to a resistance when pushed or
pulled.

Stage one – manual operation
e Press and hold button A in the first setting until
the required position is reached.
The process stops when the button is released.
Stage two – automatic operation
e Briefly pull button A to the second setting.
The slide/tilt sunroof opens automatically to the
final position.
e To interrupt the process, pull button A or C again.
