5.5 Software update
To enjoy any improvements or new features, when a new software version is available, it is recommended to always keep
your receiver updated.
The software update can be managed from the Installation > Software Upgrade menu:
1.
USB Firmware Upgrade submenu: Manual software upgrade via USB, by selecting the appropriate update file from
a USB memory connected to the receiver.
2.
Network Firmware Upgrade submenu: Software upgrade through the internet, by downloading the data from the
TELE System server. When the Automatic Upgrade option is enabled, the receiver will notify to the user new
software availability.
5.6 Factory reset
If necessary, you can reset the receiver to factory conditions by means of a software reset executable from the
Installation > Default Setting menu.
WARNING
The reset operation involves the removal of all stored channels and user customizations. The last installed software
update will not be lost.
5.7 Energy savings
The receiver is equipped with a system to save energy. The relative functions can be adjusted manually from the
following parameters of the menu Settings > Other settings:
1.
Power Saving in Standby / Power Save Waiting Time
standby for a period defined by the field
can be responsive to an imminent power on. After this period, the receiver will go into a state of deep standby,
energy saving, which will involve a reaction time of several seconds to power up corresponding to a complete restart
of the system. Moreover, in case of automatic update of channels in standby (paragraph 5.3.1), the receiver will
perform the channel update when just entered in standby mode, and then it will start the waiting time to go into
energy save.
NOTE
When the energy savings is enabled in standby, the receiver may have different power up times from the standby
state whether it is in a deep or alert state of standby.

per factory setting), the receiver will automatically switch into stand-by mode.
5.8 Audio/Video settings
The menu Settings > A/V Setting has the following audio-video configurations to be adjusted in line with the screen and

Video Format
2.
: Video resolution of the digital audio-video HDMI output.
WARNINGS AND NOTES
You should choose a fixed value. Since the
output resolution may therefore vary at each channel change: this procedure is particularly burdensome for the
TV and for the viewer.
Through the HDMI connection, the receiver will automatically detect the video resolutions supported by the
connected display/TV set and will only make those found available on the menu. For a proper recognition, you
should first turn on the screen/TV and then the receiver.
Despite the aforementioned automation, in order to avoid inconveniences, for example due to a lack of or
incorrect communication between the devices, be sure to always choose a video resolution for the receiver
based on the specifications of the connected screen.
