3 First start of the receiver
Once the connection of the receiver has been completed through the screen, the antenna and the supply (see paragraph
2.2), switch the main power switch to the position I. The receiver requires about a half a minute to become operational:
during this period do not remove the power supply and do not press any buttons on the front of the receiver or the
remote control. Subsequently, a first start wizard will appear on the screen.
During the procedure, in general you can use:


The OK button when you are near a parameter and want to open the possible pull-down menu for options or to
confirm.
Please also observe the instructions given on the screen.
Below is a description of the various steps, through which the user will have to define all settings/necessary
adjustments:
Step 1. Language
Choose the language through the menu which appears on the screen. Press OK on the desired language and confirm
and continue on to the next step.
Step 2. PIN Setting
Define a four digit password, called Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the Parental Control (paragraph 5.1.2). With
the numeric buttons on the remote control, input the desired code in the field

If at first installation you choose to scan on a single one of the two antennas, you can still scan the other
antenna channels at a later time from the menu (see par. 5.3.2 and 5.3.3).

For the satellite, the procedure for the first installation described in this chapter will guide the user in scanning
the channels from a single traditional satellite dish (see step 5). For more advanced satellite antenna
installations such as DiSEqC, SCR or motorized, refer to paragraph 5.3.2.
Satellite LCN
2. (for Italy): Automatic sorting function of satellite channels, called Logical Channel Numbering (LCN).
If it is on, following the automatic scanning channels, the satellite channel list of the receiver will first contain the
channels sorted according to the default numbering from TivùSat, while all other channels will occupy the list
starting at position 1000 in a sequential memorization order.
3. Terrestrial LCN : Automatic sorting function of the terrestrial channels, called Logical Channel Numbering (LCN).
When it is enabled, when searching channels, the receiver will assign channels to a position in the list, according to
the numbering desired by each individual broadcaster. Furthermore, should two or more channels require the same
position number, the receiver will request a user preference by the display of a message on the screen.
WARNINGS

The LCN sorting can be set only through the installation wizard. To change it at a later time, you must carry out
a Factory Reset of the receiver (par. 5.6).

When the LCN auto sort function is enabled, you can not move the memorized channels.

Step 5. Antenna Setting (SAT)
This step is displayed if you have previously opted for the satellite antenna. You will therefore have to define the following
parameters for a traditional single satellite antenna system:
1. Satellite : Satellite where the desired channels are available. Press the OK button to open a list of the available
satellites.
LNB Frequency
2. : Type of converter (Low Noise Block converter - LNB) associated with the selected satellite. For
common satellite systems in Italy, the Universal (9750/10600 MHz) is used.
