4 Basic use of the receiver
WARNING
Before reading this chapter, it is necessary that you have read the previous chapter.
To simplify the use of the receiver and the management of the many digital channels, some functions and menus are
accessible by pressing the remote control buttons (paragraph 2.3.2). They are designed for frequent use and their
functions are indispensable for rapid interaction with the receiver.
For more advanced settings and customizations, instead, refer to Chapter 5.
4.1 Informative channel banners
Each time the channel is changed or you press the INFO button, at the bottom of the screen an information window, also
called the channel info banner on the tuned channel, will appear. The information that may be presented in these
banners are:
1. Channel number and name.
2. Current date and time.
3. Title and time of the current program.
4. Resolution and video format of the program viewed.
5. Frequency and Source (Terrestrial / Satellite) of the tuned channel.
Furthermore, when the channel info banner is active on the screen:
Press the ► arrow key to display the title and time of the next program.
Press the INFO button to view additional information about the current or next program.
NOTE
If the broadcaster does not transmit some of the above information, it will not be displayed on the channel banner.
4.2 Quick selection of channels
To change the channel, proceed in one of the following ways:
Press the PROG+/- buttons on the remote to move to the next / previous channel.
Directly enter the desired channel number with the number buttons 0÷9 on the remote.
Use the DTT/SAT button to switch between the terrestrial channel list and Satellite channel list.
Alternatively, in a practical way to manage the large number of TV and radio channels that digital terrestrial
broadcasting offered, use of rapid channel list available when watching programs by pressing the OK/LIST button on the
remote control, then:

Press the ▼/▲ buttons to scroll the channel list channel by channel.
Press the ◄/► buttons to quickly scroll the list page by page.
Press the OK button on the selected channel to view it.
Within each channel group, the change between the available subgroups, such as between
pressing in sequence each colored button corresponding to the color of the current section (ie. the RED button in
list) and then the arrow key ▼ to go to the selection of corresponding channels.

NOTE
If after having chosen a group or subgroup of channels, you leave the channel list, the operation of changing channels
will occur between channels within the same group or subgroup.
Lastly, to further simplify the consultation of the channel list, using the OPT button (
channels in alphabetical order maintaining the channel numbers in order to return to the original order by pressing
again the OPT button.
4.3 Audio e Subtitle options
In the event that the broadcasted channel is in multi audio/language and/or it contains subtitles, the user can change the
audio track and/or activate subtitles. Proceed as follows:
Press the AUDIO or SUB button on the remote control.
By using the the arrow ▲/▼ button, select the audio track or the desired subtitles.
Press the OK button to confirm.
4.4 Teletext
If the broadcasted channel is equipt with teletext data:
Use the TEXT button to enable it.
