Cause
Network controller interrupt is
shared with an expansion
board.
The network controller requires
drivers.
The expansion board installed
is a network card (NIC) and
conflicts with the embedded
NIC.
The files containing the network
drivers are corrupted.
The cable is not securely
connected.
The network controller is
defective.
New network card might be
defective or might not meet
industry-standard specifications.
The network controller is not
configured properly.
Unprogrammed EEPROM.
Solution
Under the Computer Setup Advanced menu,
change the resource settings for the board.
Verify that the drivers were not accidentally deleted
when the drivers for a new expansion board were
installed.
Under the Computer Setup Advanced menu,
change the resource settings for the board.
Reinstall the network drivers, using the Restore Plus!
CD.
Be sure that both ends of the cable are securely
attached to the correct devices.
Replace the NIC.
Install a working, industry-standard NIC, or change
the boot sequence to boot from another source.
Verify Network Connectivity, that a DHCP Server is
present, and that the Remote System Installation
Server contains the NIC drivers for your NIC.
