4.7 Energy storage code

Energy storage is a central component of the MV UPS system. Therefore, to ensure the performance of the HiPer-
Guard MV UPS, ABB tested and qualified different energy storage autonomies times, from a few seconds up to
several minutes to ensure the reliability of the MV UPS system. The number "0" corresponds to the standard solu-
tion, based on Lithium-Ion batteries.

4.8 DC cables entry

The DC cables from/to the Energy Storage can enter the DCT enclosure either top or bottom. Therefore, "T" corre-
sponds to the top DC cable entry, and "B" corresponds to the bottom DC cable entry.

4.9 System configuration

The HiPerGuard MV UPS is available as a single unit or multi-units arranged in a hard-parallel configuration. Up to
ten units can be combined to achieve power levels up to 22.5 MVA. Units which are part of a hard-parallel system
must have "1" in their code, while single units are identified by the number "0". For example, if the total load is 9
MVA, the system shall be composed of 4 HiPerGuard MV UPS units with the number "1" in their type code.
