Introduction

Thank you for selecting ABB as your preferred supplier of critical power equipment and congratulations on your

choice of the HiPerGuard MV UPS to protect your installation.

The HiPerGuard MV UPS is the medium voltage UPS intended for multi-megawatt power protection. Based on the

impedance isolated static converter (ZISC) architecture, the HiPerGuard MV UPS introduces a flexible solution

with high reliability and high efficiency for critical power installations. Please carefully read this User Manual,

which contains all the necessary information and describes all you need to know about the use of the MV UPS.

The User Manual describes the function of the MV UPS, its operation, system components, the meaning of the

system events related to the user interface and provides procedures for starting and stopping the equipment.

Please refer to the Installation Manual, which describes how to prepare the installation site, and provides weight,

dimensions and procedures for moving, installing and connecting the HiPerGuard MV UPS.
