Abbrevation/Term
Modbus®
A state where the MV UPS is not operating, input and output breakers are opened, and the
automatic bypass breaker is closed.
A state where the MV UPS ramps its output voltage from zero to input/output voltage
magnitude, synchronizes to frequency and phase, closes the output and input circuit
breakers and opens the automatic bypass circuit breaker.
A state where the MV UPS synchronizes the input to the output voltage, closes the auto-
matic bypass circuit breaker and opens the input/output circuit breakers.
A state where the grid input voltage is within specified limits and the MV UPS continuously
conditions the load voltage to the system nominal voltage value while the utility is supply-
ing the load active power requirements.
A state where the grid input voltage is out of threshold and the MV UPS is keeping the load
voltage within specified limits while monitoring to decide whether to disconnect from the
grid.
A state where the MV UPS decided to go into independent mode by opening the input cir-
cuit breaker and supplying the load through the energy storage.
A state where the MV UPS resynchronize to the grid input voltage and commands the input
circuit breaker to close when the grid voltage is back and stable for reconnection.
