5 STARTUP AND SHUTDOWN

the instructions contained in the present manual and in the technical supporting
documentation.

External isolators
 BCB refers to internal battery circuit breaker when the configuration is for internal
batteries.
 BCB refers to both internal and external battery circuit breaker when the
configuration is with external batteries and its auxiliary contacts properly wired
to the UPS terminals..
5.1 PRELIMINARY CHECKS
Before starting up the unit, make sure that:
 all installation and electric connection works have been performed professionally;
 all power and control cables have been properly and tightly connected to the relevant terminal
boards;
 the ground cable is properly connected;
 the battery polarity is correct and the voltage is within the operating values;
 the phase rotation of the line is correct and the voltage is within tolerance with the operating
values.
 the emergency power off "EPO" push-button, if installed, is not pressed (if not, press it back to
the rest position).
