Chapter 1 Maintenance
Did you perform any keyboard or mouse operation immediately after you started the server?
→ If you perform any keyboard or mouse operation immediately after start-up, POST may
accidentally detect a keyboard controller error and stops processing. In such a case, reboot the
server. Do not perform any keyboard or mouse operation until the BIOS start-up message
appears after you reboot the server.
Are memory and PCI devices supported for use with this server?
→ Operation of the server with unauthorized devices is not guaranteed.
Is "Shutdown System" enabled on ECO menu of BMC Configuration?
→ Confirm the settings of ECO menu from remote console.
If you are unable to use remote console, reduce system power consumption by disconnecting
option device and others, then restart the system.
→ Check if the value set for "Power Threshold (Pa)" is appropriate for system startup. If you want to
operate the server with "Shutdown System" enabled, fully consider the value of "Power Threshold
(Pa)".
