Seawater Filter, Check and Cleaning
The seawater filter is auxiliary equipment.
If the water where the boat is used has a lot of
contaminants, seaweed, etc. the filter should be
checked more frequently than stated in the
maintenance schedule, Otherwise there is a risk that
the filter may be blocked resulting engine overheating.
WARNING!
Risk of water entry. Close the seawater cocks before
doing any work on the seawater system.
1 Close the sea cock.
2 Remove the cover (1) and lift out the insert.
3 Clean the insert and the housing (2).

Intake Manifold, Checking the Drain
Hole
Steam may be generated during operations; it drains
via a hole at the bottom of the charge air cooler. Check
that the hole is not blocked.
CAUTION!
Burn hazard! Steam may evaporate through the drain
hole.
IMPORTANT!
If a large amount of coolant flows out of the drain hole,
the charge air cooler must be removed and pressure
tested.
This work must be carried out by an authorized
workshop.
1 Position a collecting container under the air cooler
before unscrewing the plug (1).
2 Allow lubrication / condensation water to drain.
3 Tighten the plug (1) with a new seal.
4 After starting the engine, check for leaks and
tighten the screw if necessary.
