Start the engine
Start using the ignition switch
Turn the key to position III. Release the key and let it
spring back to position I as soon as the engine has
started.
If repeated start attempts are needed, the key must be
turned back to position 0 first.
Overheating protection
If the starter motor is engaged for its maximum
activation time (30 seconds), the starter motor circuit
is cut automatically to protect the starter motor from
overheating. If possible, leave the starter motor to cool
for at least five minutes before making a new start
attempt.
Read the instruments and warm the
engine up
Allow the engine to idle for the first ten seconds. Read
the instruments and make sure they show normal
values. Test that warning lamps and alarm function
properly.
Warm the engine up at low speed and low load, so
normal operating temperature is reached before full
power is used.
IMPORTANT!
Never race the engine when it is cold.
Check the oil level in the reverse gear
Check the oil level when the reverse gear has reached
operating temperature, please refer to Oil level,
