Starting

Starting the Engine

Put the gear in neutral
Put the gear in neutral by moving the control lever to
neutral at all stations.
WARNING!
Check all control positions to make sure that a gear is
not engaged. This is essential for boat's equipped with
controls that allow starting the engine in gear.
Single lever control
Make sure the lever is in neutral position "N." This
means the accelerator is in idle position and the
reverse gear is disengaged.
Dual lever control
Put the forward/reverse lever in neutral position to
enable starting. Move the accelerator all the way back
to idle position.
Turn on the power
Turn on the power by putting the starter key in position
"I".
Check warning lamps and alarms
Press the "Alarm test" button on the instrument panel
to make sure the warning lamps come on and the
acoustic alarm sounds.
