Problem
Pump does not stroke
Pump is excessively noisy

Cause
No power
Incorrect power
Pump stalled
Drive cam or motor shaft keyway is
damaged
Water ingress
Worn motor brushes (DC only)
Motor control board failure (variable
speed only)
Motor gearbox failure
Worn drive train components
Motor gearbox wear
Solution
Ensure the motor has proper incom-
ing power.
Ensure a fuse or circuit breaker has
not blown or tripped.
Ensure the pump controller is supply-
ing power.
Ensure the pump power voltage is
correct.
Ensure the pump power polarity is
correct. (variable speed DC)
Ensure the discharge pressure does
not exceed the pump's maximum
working pressure.
Ensure the pressure relief valve is
set properly and is functional.
Ensure the check valve and shutoff
at the point of injection are open.
Ensure the motor shaft spins freely. If
not, replace motor or gearbox.
Inspect and replace the motor or cam
as required.
Ensure the motor junction box electri-
cal connection and conduit are
water-tight.
Inspect the motor and replace as
required.
Remove brush dust.
Inspect brushes and replace as
required.
Replace the control board.
Replace the motor.
Replace the gearbox. (C1D1 only)
Inspect and replace the drive compo-
nents as required.
Replace the motor.
Replace the gearbox. (C1D1 only)
