Operation Operation Pressure Relief Procedure Flush the Equipment Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure whenever you see this symbol. This equipment stays pressurized until pressure is To avoid fire and explosion, always ground equipment manually relieved. To help prevent serious injury from and waste container.
Operation Calibrate Chemical Dosage Stroke Adjustment 1. Begin the process by setting the cycle rate and/or stroke adjustment of the pump to an estimated set- This pump has infinite stroke adjustment positions ting for a desired flow rate. See Baseline Chemical between full stroke and half stroke.
Page 25
Operation Baseline Chemical Dosage Settings See Stroke Adjustment, page 24, for stroke adjust settings. CPM (cycles per minute) is determined by controller settings for On/Off Time, or Cycles if using a Harrier-family chemical injection controller. Adjust the controller settings to change the CPM. Motor speed is also affected by voltage and back pressure. To use these charts, find the flow rate above the desired injection rate for the correct-sized plunger.
Maintenance Maintenance Preventive Maintenance Tighten Packings Schedule The packings included in your pump have the ability to be adjusted to stop leaks that develop when the seals The operating conditions of your particular pump deter- are worn. If a leak develops in the pump’s fluid section, mines how often maintenance is required.
Troubleshooting Troubleshooting To reduce the risk of injury due to burns, allow ade- quate time for the motor to cool before performing any troubleshooting tasks. 1. Follow Pressure Relief Procedure, page 23, 2. Check all possible problems and causes before dis- before checking or repairing the pump.

Troubleshooting Problem Cause Solution Ensure the motor has proper incom- ing power. Ensure a fuse or circuit breaker has No power not blown or tripped. Ensure the pump controller is supply- ing power. Ensure the pump power voltage is correct. Incorrect power Ensure the pump power polarity is correct.
