Operation

/// Switching on / off
1. Turn on the device by using the mains switch on the control tower.
2. Start tablet PC / laptop Bioreactor App.
3. Connect tablet PC / laptop via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or Serial port.

1. Set up hardware, vessel & medium, prepare for autoclaving.
For autoclaving, please refer to the section "Autoclaving" in this chapter.
2. After autoclaving, connect motor, tubes and cables, heating blanket etc. (See "Installation")
3. Set up "Recipe". Select and input necessary information, enable / disable module and cas-
cade control, then save it with a new recipe name (no space between texts).
4. Back to "Process screen", start "Experiment" in "Initialization" by selecting the recipe name
that you have saved.
5. Setup "Mode" and "Set point" for each modules: Stirrer, Air, ACID, BASE, Temperature-, pH-
and DO control, etc.
6. When the medium is in good condition, feed the cell and nutrient into the vessel.
7. Start "Cultivation", and let HABITAT automatically control all environment following the user
setting.
