Console Storage Compartment
To open, pull up on the latch and lift the cover.
Center Console
The center console has a storage area which can
hold cell phones, PDAs, and other small items. The
center console can slide forward and rearward for
comfort.
WARNING!
Do not operate this vehicle with a console
compartment lid in the open position. Driving
with the console compartment lid open may
result in injury in a collision.
USB C
ONTROL
There is a USB Type A and USB Type C port in the
center console. This feature allows an external
device to be plugged into the USB Type A or USB
Type C ports. Use the connection cable to connect
an external USB device to the vehicle's USB Type A
or USB Type C connector port which is located in
the center console.
Plugging in a smartphone device to a USB port may
activate Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay®
features, if equipped. Android Auto™ or Apple
CarPlay® can also be connected wirelessly
through the Device Manager. For further
information, refer to "Android Auto™" or "Apple
CarPlay®" in the Uconnect Owner's Manual
Supplement.
By using an external USB device to connect to the
USB Type A or USB Type C port:
The audio device can be played on the vehicle's
sound system, providing metadata (artist, track
title, album, etc.) information on the radio
display.
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE
NOTE:
Depending on track configuration, track infor-
mation may not be present on the radio display.
The audio device can be controlled using the
radio buttons to Play, Browse, and List the
contents.
The audio device battery charges when plugged
into the USB connectors (if supported by the
specific audio device).
