Shifting to Park
Press the brake pedal and the "P" gear
button after the vehicle has come to a
complete stop.
REMINDER
When the vehicle is powered on and
in Drive or Reverse at a speed below
or equal to 3 km/h, the vehicle shifts
to Park automatically if the front left
door is opened.
If the vehicle speed is below or equal
to 3 km/h, the vehicle can also be
shifted to the desired gear as the
gear shift lever is pushed in the
corresponding direction.
Electronic Parking Brake
(EPB)
To engage or release the parking brake, use
the EPB switch.
REMINDER
The EPB system applies a constant
force depending on a given slope to
park the vehicle. If the vehicle begins
to slide after parking on a slope, the
EPB system automatically increases
the braking force.
Engaging EPB
Manual application: Press the brake
pedal when the vehicle is stationary, and
pull up the EPB switch. The EPB
indicator
on the instrument cluster
flashes and then goes steady.
Auto application: After the vehicle has
come to a complete stop, turning off
power by pressing the "START/STOP"
button or shifting to Park automatically
engages EPB. The EPB indicator
the instrument cluster flashes and then
goes steady.
WARNING!
EPB must be engaged when parking.
The flashing EPB indicator
indicates that EPB is functioning. Try
not to release the brake pedal on a
slope in order to prevent sliding. Do
not release the brake pedal until the
EPB indicator
If the vehicle slides on a slope after
EPB is engaged, press the brake
pedal, park the vehicle on a flat
road, and immediately contact a BYD
authorised dealer or service provider.
REMINDER
Motor noise when engaging/releasing
EPB is a normal occurrence.
