    Vehicle Information Using a Diagnostics Device to Read VIN Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) VIN position VIN is the unique identity code of a vehicle. The OBD port is located at the left lower part of the dashboard. A special diagnostics device, when connected to the OBD port, can read the VIN, vehicle status and other data.
