» Goods like chemicals, detergents,
fertilizers, salt, etc. must be placed
in proper containers. If spills or leaks
are found, the containers should be
cleaned immediately and kept dry.
Try to park the vehicle in a fully
ventilated garage or a sheltered location.
Avoid parking in damp, non-ventilated
places.
It is recommended that the integrity
of the bottom wax layer is checked
regularly. In case of any damage, the
damaged area should be re-waxed to
prevent corrosion.
The dismounted fasteners should also
be waxed in vehicle maintenance.
When applying wax, avoid the high-
voltage wiring harnesses, rubber
bushings, wiring harness connectors and
high-voltage battery cable ports.

Long-Term Parking

If the vehicle needs to be parked for an
extended period of time (over one month),
the following preparations should be
heeded:
Before parking, make sure the high-
voltage battery SOC is between 25% and
40%.
It is recommended that maintenance
is carried out once a month. The high-
voltage battery should first be fully
charged through AC trickle charging,
and then discharged to 25%-40% before
parking.
Park the vehicle in a dry, well ventilated
environment, and away from heat
sources.
Clean and dry the vehicle body
thoroughly.
Clean the interior of the vehicle to ensure
that the carpet and interior trimmings
are completely dry.
172
Open the window on one side slightly
(when parking indoors).
Disconnect the cathode (-) of the 12V
battery (starter Fe battery).
Pad the wiper blade with a towel or cloth
so that it does not come into contact
with the windscreen.
Cover the vehicle body with a cover
made of porous material such as cotton
cloth. Covers of non-porous materials
such as plastic can retain moisture and
damage the paint.
If possible, start the vehicle regularly
(preferably once a month).
If the vehicle has been parked for over
three months, first confirm whether the
instrument cluster gives an alarm before
using the vehicle again. If so, contact
a BYD authorised dealer or service
provider.
