Slowly and smoothly pull out the seat belt
from the retractor, cross over the chest and
hips. Ensure that the lap portion of the seat
belt is as low as possible. Never fasten the
lap portion over the abdominal area.
WARNING!

Never place anything between the
occupant and the seat belt.
Adjusting Front Seat Belt
Height
Seat belt height adjusters are provided on
both the driver's and the front passenger's
sides to ensure correct positioning of the
seat belt. Adjust the seat belt height and
let the shoulder portion of the seat belt
pass roughly through the centre of your
shoulder, away from the face and neck.

Adjust the seat belt height as follows:
1. Press the release button of the seat belt
height adjuster.
2. Move it up or down to the desired height
and release the button.
3. Check that it is locked into place by
trying to move it without pressing the
button.
WARNING!

Make sure the seat belt is properly
adjusted and locked before driving.
Failure to do so may jeopardize
proper seat belt protection in the
event of a collision.
Seat Belt Pre-Tensioner
The front seat and second row seat are
equipped with pre-tensioner seat belts.
When the vehicle suffers a severe frontal
collision and the activating conditions of
the pre-tensioner are met, the pre-tensioner
quickly retracts some of the seat belt and
locks it to further protect the occupant. The
pre-tensioner limits the restraint force the
seat belt places onto the occupant's body
within a certain range, so as to avoid any
injury to the occupant caused by excessive
restraint force.
WARNING!

The certified seat belt must be
replaced if pre-tensioner function has
been activated.
