There are sudden changes in ambient
brightness, for example when entering/
exiting tunnels;
Lane markings shadowed by isolation
strips are unidentifiable;
The threshold between road and side
grass, soil or kerb, etc. is unidentifiable.
WARNING!
If the driver turns the turning light
on and changes lanes, LDWS will be
restrained.
LDWS may be restrained if the driver
drives on the lane markings or if the
lane markings are unidentifiable, too
thin, worn, blurred or covered by dirt/
snow.
LDWS may be restrained if the lane
is too wide or narrow, the number of
lanes increases or decreases, the lane
markings change temporarily (such
as ramps or expressway exits) or the
layout of the lane markings is complex.
LDWS may be restrained if the vehicle
is running on a steep slope or curved
road, the distance from the vehicle
ahead is too close or the vehicle
ahead blocks the lane markings.
LDWS may be restrained if the vehicle
is running over large bumps, is
accelerating or decelerating sharply,
or if the driver is turning the steering
wheel too quickly.
Elements that may affect the view of
the multi-function video controller
and normal operation of the system
include: cracked or coloured
windscreen, additional coatings that
go against the rules, light-reflective
items placed on the dashboard, etc.
WARNING!
The visual field of the multi-function
video controller must not be blocked
by objects or suffer from strong light
interference. Otherwise, LDWS will
disengage. LDWS can automatically
resume when the field of vision
returns to normal. If it fails to resume
on its own, contact a BYD authorised
dealer or service provider.
REMINDER
It is recommended to turn LDWS off
when driving:

In an aggressive manner;
»
In harsh weather;
»
Through poor road sections.

Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

BSD covers blind spot monitoring, side
assist, rear crossing traffic alert, rear
collision warning, and door opening
warning. It uses radar sensors to determine
current traffic conditions, and prompts
the driver to pay attention to driving safety
when needed.
